Everyone knows that Mexican food is delicious, but did you know that you don't have to be from Baja California to perfect an authentic Mexican taco recipe? Learning how to make authentic Mexican food is an easy way to bring the fresh taste of Mexican tacos into your kitchen.
The ingredients used to make traditional Mexican tacos are a simple bunch:

First, heat a tablespoon of oil in the pan and drop the ground beef in. As the beef browns, break it apart with a spoon or spatula so that it begins to look like the standard filling for Mexican tacos. Finely chop half of a white onion and put it in the pan with the meat so that they both cook together.
After the meat has fully browned, take the pan off of the heat and remove the grease with a paper towel. Next, pour a quarter cup of water onto the beef and season the meat. Traditional recipes include several teaspoons of chili powder, and a few teaspoons each of garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper.
The secret to cooking delicious Mexican tacos lies in the quality of your toppings. While the meat is soaking up the water and the spices, dice the tomatoes and chop the lettuce into short strips. You can also chop the red onion into tiny pieces if you like a savory crunch in your Mexican tacos. Place all of these ingredients, as well as the shredded cheese, in bowls so that your family or houseguests can pick their own toppings.
In about 20 minutes or so, the meat should be finished absorbing the spiced water that was in the pan. If you followed the cooking instructions correctly, you should have spicy meat for Mexican tacos that is ready to eat!
To complete the recipe, heat a few soft tortillas in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit and serve! Your Mexican tacos should burst with flavor and impress anyone who eats them, even if they grew up eating the real deal.
